This summer we wanted to give you a refreshing, easy drinking beer with more character than your typical American lager. That's exactly what a cream ale is all about. It's one of the few beer styles indigenous to America and was a popular style in the 1800's. Contrary to the name, it contains no dairy and is brewed with American 2-row and an addition of corn sugar in the kettle. Like the cream ale, blues is one of the few music styles indigenous to America. Lightnin' Hopkins, the iconic blues musician from Centerville, Texas, inspired the name.
