COMMEMORATIVE VIP BEER-TO-GO

Pie, Howdy! | Pecan Stout

Blue Owl Brewing & Hold Out Brewing

Each year, Texas Craft Brewers Festival VIP attendees go home with a souvenir gift. For the largest festival in the state focused on exclusively Texas-brewed independent craft beer, no gift could beat BEER itself. That’s why for a fourth year we’re excited to send VIP ticket holders home with a special commemorative collaboration beer brewed by the folks at Blue Owl Brewing and Hold Out Brewing–two breweries whose teams play an integral behind-the-scenes role in helping us put on Texas Craft Brewers Festival each year.

The collaboration was inspired by the flavors of autumn and celebratory foods that mark the coming of cooler temperatures statewide. The pecan stout is packaged in 16-ounce cans featuring artwork honoring the classic Texan tradition of roadside market stands by designer and illustrator Jessica Deahl.

VIP Ticket-Holders: make sure to pick up your four-pack of Pie, Howdy! at the festival merch booth right by the main exit gate upon your departure from the fest! (Unfortunately Texas law prohibits us from shipping it to you if you forget, so make sure to stop by!)

All Festival Attendees: You’ll be able to sample Pie, Howdy! (along with many other fun collaboration beers) by stopping by the Craft Pride Presents: PARTNERS in CRAFT Collaboration Tap Wall.

ABOUT THE BEER

Pie, Howdy!

Pecan Stout | 6% ABV | 33 IBU

This low-ABV, sweet stout is the result of collaboration between Blue Owl Brewing and Hold Out Brewing. Brewed with toasted pecans and lactose, it’s inspired by the pecan pies that grace Texas tables during the holiday season. Perfect to share with friends and family, or enjoy on its own. Cheers, y’all!

Brewed & packaged with generous support from sponsors: Canworks, RahrBSG, TBI Pro Brew Supply, White Labs & PakTech.

Label design by Jessica Deahl.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

Jessica Deahl

Jessica’s work is recognizable from beer brands to other packaged consumer goods. She’s helped develop brands big and small, from California to Texas to Illinois. Her love of drawing has given her the opportunity to create silk screen posters and illustrations for some of her favorite bands and properties, and her love of beer has recently added another bullet point to my resume — published author.
